The General Plan Update is an important opportunity for all residents to help shape the future of Fortuna and establish a shared vision for the community through the year 2060. Through this process, the City and General Plan Team will work collaboratively with residents, businesses, stakeholders, and community partners to guide future decisions related to housing, transportation, economic development, public services, environmental stewardship, and community character.
As the Update progresses, this website will serve as a primary source of project information. Please check back regularly for project updates, draft documents, upcoming meetings, and opportunities to participate in the planning process!

Technical Advisory Group
The City of Fortuna is seeking community members, professionals, and local stakeholders to serve on the General Plan 2060 Technical Advisory Group (TAG)! Applications are currently available on the City’s website. Completed applications may be submitted to Katey Schmidt at kschmidt@ci.fortuna.ca.us or in person at City Hall. Applicants will be notified of their acceptance once the review process has been completed.
